So, this update is an unexpected and difficult one for us to write however very necessary.
We recently arrived in Nairobi, however due to personal reasons and difficulties here on the ground we will be leaving Nairobi on October 6th this year. We will be working at Lina until this time, and will continue to work with them on their services, standards and training of staff so that we are leaving them in the best possible position given our unexpected departure.
We are unable to explain the full circumstances at this stage, however when we reach the UK we will be in a position to present to our supporters, the church, and share some of our experiences of our time in Burundi and Nairobi. As far as we know, Hannah and the baby are still healthy but still continue to pray for this as this time has been extremely stressful and emotionally demanding - Hannah has lost nearly 2 stone in weight since arriving in Africa.
Thank you all SO much for supporting us, financially, in prayer, in thought and in your constant encouragement via email, Skype and phone. We couldn't have done any of this without you, and we value all of you so much as our friends, family, and colleagues.
When we arrive home, we will be living in Fair Oak until Andy begins work again in the Police which is likely to be some time yet, as his career break runs up until March 2017.
